In the local area candidates will be selected to represent the newly created Wanstead Village and Wanstead Park wards on Redbridge Council.
Wanstead Ward News has been meeting some of the candidates.
Michelle Dunn is standing for the Conservative Party in Wanstead Village.
She says:
“I have represented Wanstead Ward since 2002 and lived in Wanstead for over 30 years. I have held several Cabinet Posts and was elected Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group in 2010. I am dedicated to serving the community and enjoy dealing with the concerns of residents in areas such as cleaner environments, road safety and transport. Housing issues have been a key part of my work and if elected I look forward to continuing to serve the interests of local residents as their councillor for the next four years.”
