On Thursday 5 May 2022 local elections are being held in all 32 London boroughs including Redbridge.

To learn more about those standing for election, The Wanstead Post has asked candidates to contribute a short personal statement.  Below is the profile provided by Crispin Acton who is standing for the Liberal Democrats in Wanstead Village Ward:

“Crispin Acton worked in the Department of Health until 2017. He graduated MSc in public health in 2019 and has lived in Wanstead for the last 25 years. Crispin is an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wanstead. In 2012 he joined neighbours in a successful campaign for traffic calming in Wellington Road. Liberal Democrats are campaigning for a visible police presence on our High Street. The Safer Neighbourhood Team in Wanstead Village was suspended last June. We will lobby to bring it back.”
